Design helps me make sense of things

Growing up, I drew a lot to communicate ideas and express myself, eventually leading me into animation, where stories and visuals could make people smile or feel understood. Over time, I wanted to be closer to the people I was creating for, which led me to product design — where I could combine creativity, problem solving, and impact in a more direct way.

I'm passionate about the work I do — not the kind of designer who can recite hex codes from memory, but the one who dives into rabbit holes to understand people, problems, and context. I enjoy connecting the dots, seeing the bigger picture, and uncovering insights that help teams make better decisions and create better experiences.

Design helped me make sense of things, so I hope what I create does the same for others.

Values I believe in!

01 Stay curious There's no such thing as a stupid question — every question helps us understand and empathise better. Different perspectives give us more context, build trust, and lead to better work. I hold myself to that same standard: staying curious, always. It's why I went back for my degree while working, and why I'll keep going even after graduating.
02 Collaboration is key There's no "you do you and I do me" for me. Everyone brings their own expertise, and I genuinely believe collaborating — being real with each other, no politics, no performance — leads to stronger outcomes. Trust is what makes teams move forward. I show up for the people I work with, and I love when we learn from each other along the way.
03 Craftsmanship I care about the details where they matter. Design isn't just about aesthetics — it's intentional. The whys behind every decision should reflect both the business and the person using it. Whoever interacts with something I've made should feel like someone truly thought about them.

Side quests

A documentary exploring why Eileen left engineering for childcare over 20 years ago. Through conversations with Eileen, I realised how her values of being curious, and a desire to nurture others guided her career journey.

Maybe that's why I enjoy both storytelling and design. They're both ways of understanding people and the experiences that shape them.
